The Virginia Department of Health Office of Emergency Medical Services is accepting Fall 2026 Rescue Squads Assistance Fund applications through September 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Fall 2026 cycle is a competitive matching grant for nonprofit licensed EMS agencies and other qualifying Virginia EMS organizations operating on a nonprofit basis for the benefit of the general public. Applications are submitted only through the EMS Grant Information Funding Tool (E-GIFT). The 12-month grant period runs January 1 through December 31, 2027.
Eligible uses include establishing, expanding, or improving EMS agencies, programs, or services; replacement or procurement of new EMS equipment; and establishment, expansion, or improvement of EMS training. The Fall 2026 announcement requires itemized quotes, verification of the agency Federal Identification Number, and appropriate e-signatures. Leased equipment or vehicles, equipment or vehicles secured by a lien, guarantees or warranties, fire-suppression apparatus, law-enforcement equipment, and used equipment or vehicles without prior approval are not eligible.
The current August 2026 consolidated price list shows Standard 50/50 and Hardship 70/30 funding structures and is expressly not all-inclusive. The current RSAF policy states there is no overall application dollar limit and requires a minimum request of $500 per line item. Listed-item awards may not exceed the approved category amount, and other items may be subject to applicable Virginia statewide-contract limits.
Outreach cutoff reached. Fewer than 48 hours remain before the official September 15 cutoff, so Atlas will not begin or continue new outreach to previously unsent applicants for this cycle. Work may continue only for organizations already contacted before the cutoff when otherwise permitted. The current published match structures also require an applicant share, so no direct Dr. Miltie path is treated as viable absent an independently eligible applicant structure and any required match approval.
Atlas Opportunity Score: 74/100. N9+ Fit: 20/100 conditional. QC Healthcare / other Dr. Miltie fit: 10/100 conditional. The current price list does not identify telehealth, remote physical-exam, or RPM equipment as a listed category. The list is expressly non-inclusive, so a Nonagon N9+ remote physical examination platform should be treated only as a possible applicant-defined special or innovative equipment concept if OEMS confirms allowability, pricing/procurement requirements are satisfied, and the applicant has an approved match strategy. Dr. Miltie is not treated as a direct applicant.
