Applicants may also request an optional Equipment Grant of up to $20,000, also subject to a 1:1 match.

MDA encourages applications from organizations serving sovereign Tribal Nations. First time Farm to Kids applicants should use the First Bite Grant instead.

Deadline and application

Applications are due October 15, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Central Time. Applicants must review the FY2027 AGRI Farm to Kids Full Tray RFP and submit through MDA’s Grantinterface online system. A signed Authority to Apply Letter is required. Full Tray applicants must also include at least one producer letter, a distributor letter when applicable, and may include up to two community partner letters. Required letters are uploaded as a combined file. Late applications are not accepted.
