Broad Eligibility

Eligible applicants are Texas-based accredited academic institutions, governmental entities, nonprofit organizations and healthcare organizations that provide cancer care and training and conduct clinical cancer research; for-profit companies are not eligible. The PI must be an MD or DO, generally within five years of the first Associate Professor-level appointment, have oncology subspecialty training or equivalent clinical-trial relevance, hold active independent peer-reviewed patient-oriented research support, reside in Texas for the award, and commit at least 33% professional effort. Institutions may submit only two applications under this RFA in the cycle.
