Opportunity Overview
Cambia Health Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026 Resilient Children and Families School Health RFP. The funding supports school-based health centers and programs that expand access to integrated medical, behavioral-health and wellness services for students in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah, including qualifying programs serving federally recognized Tribal communities within those states. Established programs receive priority; new initiatives may be considered when they demonstrate strong school support and a viable path to sustainability.
Funding and Deadline
Cambia anticipates approximately 7-10 awards. Typical grants are $30,000-$50,000, with grant periods of up to 24 months. Applications are due September 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time.
Eligible Applicants
Applicants must be a tuition-free public elementary, middle, junior high and/or high school, including traditional, charter or magnet schools, or an eligible nonprofit organization that partners with one. The applicant organization must be an active U.S. 501(c)(3), accredited elementary-through-high school, government or public agency, or federally recognized Indian Tribal entity; qualifying fiscal agents may apply on behalf of eligible organizations. Proposed work must serve Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Washington and/or sovereign American Indian tribes within those states.
School Health Scope
The RFP supports established school-based integrated medical, mental-health and wellness services. Examples include primary or preventive care, behavioral-health counseling, care coordination and related school-health services. Counseling and behavioral-health services may be delivered on-site or via telehealth when consistent with the funded program.
Funding Controls and Material Restrictions
Cambia asks for one application per organization or collaboration. The public RFP does not state a matching or cost-share requirement. It will not fund endowments, capital campaigns, political causes or events, sacramental or theological functions of religious organizations, existing deficits, retroactive expenses, sponsorships, or programs that do not primarily serve Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah and/or sovereign American Indian tribes within those states. Cambia may add exclusions case by case and may reject proposals missing required information or documentation.
