The Idaho CapEd Foundation Teacher Grant Program 2026-27 is open to eligible Idaho Pre-K through grade 12 educators for innovative classroom projects and school programs.
Funding: Up to $800 per Teacher Grant. The Foundation may award smaller amounts, and current public guidance indicates it typically selects eight traditional winners per monthly round, with additional winners possible when funding remains.
Next deadline: Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM. The Foundation does not state a time zone on the current controlling page, so Atlas does not infer one. Applications are accepted from August 1 through March 1, with monthly consideration during that period.
Eligibility: Educators teaching Pre-K through grade 12 in Idaho at an accredited public, private, or parochial school. CapEd membership is not required. Applicants may submit one application per month and may reapply in later monthly rounds if not selected, but an educator may receive only one Teacher Grant during a school year.
Project fit: Competitive projects should improve classroom learning and teaching, enhance the applicable state or district curriculum, and address needs that cannot be funded solely with district or building funds. The Foundation states that it typically does not fund field-trip expenses, teacher conferences or continuing-education costs, snacks or food-pantry items, projects that still require significant additional fundraising, projects whose equipment or supplies cannot be ordered by May, or projects that do not enhance the applicable curriculum.
Submission method: Applicants create an online Teacher Dashboard, complete the grant application and project funding information, and submit the application to their principal for approval. The application must receive principal approval before the deadline. The Foundation sends awarded funds by check payable to the school and requires an Award Agreement from the principal and recipient after selection. Current public instructions and FAQ do not state a matching-funds or cost-share requirement.
Atlas assessment: Atlas Opportunity Score 68/100. This is a legitimate statewide Idaho K-12 classroom funding opportunity with broad educator eligibility and recurring monthly rounds, but the maximum award is small and the eligible applicant is the individual educator. N9+ Fit 0/100, QC Healthcare Fit 0/100, and Dr. Miltie direct-vendor fit 0/100. Do not force a healthcare technology pathway into this program.
Original outreach: No automated outreach is authorized from this record at this time. The eligible applicant is an individual educator, and the published deadline does not include a time zone. Atlas will not infer personal email addresses or a deadline time zone.
