- LIFT School Improvement Accelerator: estimated $60,000-$120,000 per campus.
- School Improvement C&I Support Grant: approximately $200,000 per campus.
- Blended Learning Grant: estimated $76,000-$198,000 in LASO funding, with estimated total support of $171,000-$446,000.

- Texas Strategic Staffing: approximately $58,400 per school system.
- Additional Days School Year PEP: estimated $60,000-$250,000 in LASO funding, with estimated total support of $140,000-$600,000.

- Virtual and Hybrid Program Accelerator: estimated $156,000-$206,000 in LASO funding, with estimated total support of $300,000-$380,000.
TEA states that full grant-award details will be available before launch and are subject to change. Final initiative-specific guidance controls actual eligibility, award amounts, allowable costs and application requirements.
Eligibility Strategy
Eligibility varies by initiative and may be defined at the school-system or campus level. Atlas should not treat every Texas district as eligible for every Cycle 5 opportunity. The strongest workflow is to map each district’s documented need to the best-fit initiative, confirm final eligibility at launch, and then build one coordinated application strategy.
Healthcare and School-Health Relevance
LASO is primarily an education-improvement portfolio, not a dedicated school-health or telehealth grant. However, the Rural Pathway Excellence Partnership, educator-workforce pipelines, innovative school models, college-and-career pathways, and virtual or hybrid programming can intersect with healthcare career pathways, rural workforce development and education-health partnerships. Atlas should only present a clinical or health-technology use when the final initiative guidance expressly permits it.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 96/100. LASO is one of Texas’s largest and most strategically important school-funding pipelines for the 2026-27 cycle. The September 3 announcement materially strengthens the opportunity intelligence by confirming that the 21-opportunity portfolio totals up to $400 million.
N9+ Direct Vendor Fit: low at the portfolio level. The current Cycle 5 overview does not establish a general clinical-technology purchasing pathway. Any N9+ fit must be tested against a specific final initiative after TEA publishes the controlling guidance.
Next Action
Use the current portfolio now to shortlist the strongest-fit initiatives, attend the September 14 or September 18 general webinar, prepare baseline data and partner structures, and retrieve the final initiative-specific guidance as soon as the application opens September 23. Reconcile all final award, eligibility and allowable-cost changes before submission.
