The Northeast Delta Dental Foundation is accepting applications for its next oral-health grant cycle serving Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. This New Hampshire lane tracks eligible projects benefiting New Hampshire communities.
Deadline and Decision Timing
The published application deadline is January 29, 2027. The Foundation does not state an exact submission time or time zone on its current public guidance. Applications received by that date are expected to be presented at the March 26, 2027 Board meeting, with final decisions released afterward.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must have an oral-health-related project or activity and be a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofit, governmental institution, or academic institution. The Foundation expressly includes nonprofit dental clinics or centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers working to improve access and affordability.
What the Foundation Funds
Eligible initiatives include oral-health education for defined populations; preventive programs aimed at reducing dental disease; nonprofit/FQHC dental-clinic support, commonly equipment and dental supplies; continuing education for dental professionals; oral-health research; and dental-workforce scholarship and loan-repayment programs.
Funding Amount and Cost Share
The Foundation publishes no fixed grant minimum or maximum. Applicants are instructed to request the amount their project requires and provide a budget showing what Foundation funding would support. Full or partial funding requests are allowed. No mandatory match or cost-share is stated, although the Foundation says programs with other funding sources are more likely to receive support because broad support can demonstrate sustainability.
Application Controls
The application should include the organization’s mission, a project/program description and objectives, contact information for the funding request, the geographic area and population served, and a detailed budget. Additional information may be requested after review, particularly for first-time applicants, and a site visit may be requested. Organizations typically receive no more than one Foundation grant within a 12-month period. Applicants seeking support for a new building, major renovation, or multi-year commitment should contact the Foundation before applying because those requests normally fall outside standard guidelines.
Atlas Assessment
Atlas Opportunity Score: 90/100. N9+ Fit Score: 10/100 conditional. This is a strong oral-health access and equipment funding source, but N9+ is not dental equipment and should not be forced into an oral-health-specific proposal. Dr. Miltie/QC Healthcare is not a direct eligible applicant under the published nonprofit/government/academic eligibility structure; a vendor or subcontractor role would require an independently eligible applicant with an allowable, applicant-defined oral-health project.
