Broad Eligibility
Pennsylvania states that applications may be submitted by any qualified entity when the proposed use of CMP funds protects or improves the quality of life or quality of care for long-term-care facility residents. Examples include CMS-certified skilled nursing or nursing facilities, resident or family councils, consumer advocacy organizations, professional or state nursing-home associations, vendors, state agencies, academic institutions and quality-improvement organizations. Applicants must avoid conflicts of interest and may not use CMP funding to replace goods, services or functions already paid for through other state or federal sources.
