The Child Health Association of Sewickley is accepting 2026 Letters of Interest from eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations for child-related projects serving western Pennsylvania.

Funding and deadline

Letters of Interest are due September 30, 2026. The controlling materials do not publish a deadline time or time zone. Organizations invited to submit a full request have a December 15, 2026 deadline.

Requests must exceed $1,000. The guidelines describe one or two major donations of approximately $20,000 to $30,000 and up to ten additional grants generally in the $1,000 to $10,000 range. The Association states that it typically distributes more than $100,000 annually, but that statement is not a guaranteed 2026 funding pool or applicant maximum.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving children in Allegheny County and contiguous Beaver, Butler, Westmoreland, and Washington Counties, or demonstrate that the served population resides in those counties. Preference is given first to organizations serving the Quaker Valley School District, then nearby communities. Projects or items must be child-related. Capital campaigns, endowments, and fundraising activities are excluded. The guidelines generally favor small and medium organizations with annual budgets of $1.5 million or less.

The Association does not fund the same organization in consecutive years and does not make multi-year grants.

How to apply

Submit the Letter of Interest and IRS 501(c)(3) certification by email to grants@childhealthassociation.org. If invited, the full application requires additional financial and organizational documentation including audited financial statements, prior three-year funding sources, annual budget, and board list.

Atlas assessment

Atlas Opportunity Score: 89/100. This is a strong local child-health and education philanthropy opportunity with a straightforward first-stage LOI, but relatively modest typical awards and restrictive nonconsecutive-year controls. N9+ fit is 20/100 conditional; the official materials do not specifically authorize remote physical-exam or telehealth technology, so any technology role must be applicant-defined and confirmed allowable before budgeting.
