Opportunity Overview
The New Hampshire Children’s Health Foundation’s 2026 Emergent Need Fund provides one-time support to eligible organizations facing a genuine unforeseen need affecting young children and families. The program is designed for urgent, non-routine needs rather than ongoing operating support.
Funding and Deadline
Requests may be up to $50,000. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout 2026 or until the year’s funding is fully expended. Grant activities must take place within one year of award.
Who Is Eligible
Eligible applicants include New Hampshire 501(c)(3) organizations and organizations applying under a qualifying tax-exempt fiscal sponsor that serve families with children ages 0-5 who are at risk for poor health outcomes.
Emergent-Need Test
Atlas should not treat this as a general open-ended program grant. Applicants need an authentic unforeseen need and a credible one-time response plan. The Foundation specifically encourages organizations to apply once the need and a plan to address it are identified.
Strategic Value
Atlas Opportunity Score: 88/100. The rolling window and flexible one-time structure make this valuable pediatric and family-health resilience funding for organizations with legitimate emergent needs.
N9+ Direct Vendor Fit: 0/100 by default. A technology component should be considered only if it is directly responsive to the actual emergent need and clearly allowable; Atlas should never manufacture an emergency to create product fit.
Application Strategy
Confirm nonprofit or fiscal-sponsor eligibility, document the unforeseen need, show how the proposed response protects or improves outcomes for families with young children, build a one-year implementation plan and budget, and apply promptly because funding is available only until the annual pool is exhausted.
