The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is accepting applications from experienced health center executives to serve as mentors and executive advisors for its Leadership Exchange programs. Applications for NLE Mentors and Executive Advisors are due October 2, 2026. The separate Learning Group discussion-leader deadline of September 11, 2026 has passed.
Roles and compensation
Mentors support groups of health center executives over six months through virtual meetings, in-person program events, capstone guidance, and peer advising. Executive advisors help ensure program learning content is relevant at the executive level and may support other NACHC training and technical-assistance programs. NACHC states that it will provide a professional services fee and reimburse travel in alignment with its policies; the application does not state the fee amount.
Eligibility
Applicants must have at least three years of experience in the role associated with their application at an FQHC or FQHC Look-Alike, with more than five years preferred. If an applicant is no longer serving in that role, no more than three years may have passed since the applicant served at a health center. Applicants must also have the support of their current or most recent health center supervisor, or their board in the case of CEOs. NACHC will conduct a reference check.
Assessment
NACHC will assess the applicant’s approach to mentorship and facilitation and demonstrated success in the executive role. The organization will also conduct a limited background review that includes SAM and internet searches and will review Uniform Data System information for the applicant’s current or most recent health center.
Atlas analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 62/100. This is a legitimate direct professional-services opportunity closely connected to the Health Center Program. A targeted internal document search surfaced a Gotham Health FQHC executive blueprint, which makes the opportunity worth applicant-specific verification, but the file name alone does not establish the exact executive role, required years of service, recency, or supervisor or board support. Those facts must be confirmed before any application is submitted. N9+ Fit: 0/100. This is an executive mentorship and advisory engagement rather than a clinical technology procurement.
Required next action
Verify the applicant’s exact FQHC or Look-Alike executive role, dates and duration of service, and the required supervisor or board reference support before submission. Do not infer or overstate eligibility from general executive materials.
