Individuals, businesses, other for-profit organizations, non-501(c)(3) nonprofits, general operating expenses including salaries and personnel, capital campaigns, endowments, regranting or loan pools, and emergency-services equipment are excluded.

Required materials include the completed application, an IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter when applicable, the Project Budget Worksheet, and two letters of support. Applications are submitted through SMIF’s GoApply online system.
