FY27 Georgia School Health Allocation
The Georgia Department of Education has released FY27 Feminine Hygiene Grant funds for school districts. GaDOE announced that the funds were released July 1 and became available July 30, 2026. The funding is intended to provide feminine hygiene products to students and families in need.
Funding Structure
This is a formula school-health allocation, not a competitive application cycle. GaDOE states that each district will receive funds based on the October 2025 FTE report of female students in grades 5 through 12. The current FY27 grant flyer does not state a statewide dollar total or a competitive applicant ceiling, so Atlas does not invent one.

GaDOE identifies soap, shampoo, deodorant, pain medication, male underwear, clothing or leggings, and heating pads as non-allowable purchases under this grant.

GaDOE recommends buying in bulk when practical and notes that districts may partner with food banks, hospitals, and healthcare systems. Products may be distributed through school restrooms, nurse or counselor offices, classrooms, or in quantities appropriate for home use.
