Opportunity Overview
The Burning Foundation is accepting Fall 2026 Letters of Interest for its Teen Pregnancy Prevention grantmaking in Washington and Oregon. The Foundation supports projects that use evidence-based techniques to reduce teen pregnancy and specifically identifies school-based health and education programs and community-clinic programs providing information and services related to birth control, choice, and sex education as potentially eligible approaches.
Funding
Individual Burning Foundation grants range from $5,000 to $15,000. The Foundation states that it awards approximately $650,000 per year across its grantmaking. The reviewed public guidance does not state a mandatory applicant match or cost-share requirement.
Eligibility and Restrictions
Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) organizations classified as public charities under IRC 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2) in Washington or Oregon that fit the Foundation’s stated areas of interest. Grants may support general operating expenses and/or special projects. For Teen Pregnancy Prevention requests, the project must use evidence-based techniques and have its own project budget, work plan, and criteria for success.
The Foundation does not support requests from schools, universities, or their fundraising affiliates; research projects or scholarships; land or property purchases; or capital campaigns for building construction or renovation. Multi-year requests are not accepted. If an organization’s Letter of Interest or proposal has been denied, it must wait one year before reapplying.
