What the program supports
Teachers submit a brief classroom wish describing how $2,500 in resources would benefit their students. The Foundation cites examples such as robotics kits, musical instruments, adaptive learning tools, classroom libraries, athletic gear, and other classroom resources. If selected, the teacher creates a qualifying DonorsChoose project and Fiesta Sports Foundation funds the approved wish through DonorsChoose.
Eligibility and application rules
The 2026 Teacher Wishes terms limit participation to public and charter school K-12 teachers in Arizona. Each teacher may request one wish. The full granted amount must be used for the school project or classroom and benefit students. Applications opened September 1, 2026 and close September 30, 2026.
Deadline time-zone note
The current live official Teacher Wishes application states that applications close on September 30, 2026 at 10:00 PM local Arizona time. That live application controls Atlas deadline handling. A dated September 1, 2026 Foundation announcement states 10:00 PM MST, while the evergreen program page displays 10:00 PM PST. Atlas therefore uses the live application wording rather than inferring a time zone from the conflicting secondary Foundation pages.
