Opportunity Overview
The Greater New Orleans Foundation is accepting 2026 Emerging Philanthropists of New Orleans (EPNO) Letters of Intent. The 2026 class has three grantmaking teams, including a Health team, and each team will award up to $10,000.
Funding and Timing
The 2026 cycle opened September 4, 2026. Letters of Intent are due September 24, 2026 through the Foundation’s electronic application portal. The public controlling page does not state an exact closing time. Organizations invited to the full application stage are scheduled to submit by November 2, 2026.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must have 501(c)(3) status or a fiscal sponsor, be located within the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s 13-parish service area, and generally have an organizational budget of $1 million or less unless otherwise noted. The Foundation also maintains a conflict-of-interest policy that can affect eligibility.
Health Focus
The Health team seeks organizations providing or supporting equitable access to mental-health care and education for underserved or marginalized youth in Greater New Orleans. Applicants should demonstrate the population served, barriers addressed, tangible outcomes, and an evidence-informed or community-informed approach.
Atlas Strategic Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 84/100. This is a legitimate, currently open Louisiana health grant with clear nonprofit eligibility and a near-term deadline. N9+ Fit Score: 22/100. The program is primarily centered on mental-health access and education rather than remote physical examination, so Atlas should not force N9+ into an application. Dr. Miltie, LLC is not a direct applicant under the published nonprofit/fiscal-sponsor eligibility rules.
Next Steps
High-fit Greater New Orleans nonprofits should confirm budget, geography, operating history and conflict-of-interest eligibility, then submit the LOI electronically by September 24. Atlas may support eligible applicant organizations where appropriate.
