2027 Pacific Swimming Club Development Grant Program
Pacific Swimming Association is accepting applications from eligible year-round member swimming clubs for its 2027 Club Development Grant Program. This is an applicant-facing grant for established club operations, training, safety, meets, and coaching development, not a procurement contract. Applications opened October 21, 2026 and are accepted through January 22, 2027. The funder does not specify a closing hour or time zone.
Individual award and overall program pool
Each eligible club may request up to $3,000. Pacific Swimming anticipates awarding approximately $75,000 across the entire 2027 grant program; that figure is the overall program pool and not the amount available to any one applicant. The Investment Committee may award less than requested based on applications and proposal merit. Multisite clubs are treated as one club. Each club may apply for only one of three tracks.
Three alternative tracks
Facility/Meet: Competition, meet-hosting, safety, and facility improvements, such as starting systems, lane lines, flags, storage, timing or meet-management tools, and other qualified enhancements.
Athlete: Training equipment, technology, video analysis, dryland equipment, programs, and appropriate consulting or development activities. Medical devices are excluded from this track.
Coach Education: Coaching clinics, educational materials, professional coursework, and mentorship support.
Eligibility and Safe Sport requirements
Eligible applicants must be year-round swimming clubs in good standing with Pacific Swimming and must supply the requested supporting documentation. Pacific Swimming’s membership area includes much of Northern California and parts of the Reno–Carson City–Lake Tahoe area of Nevada; the controlling requirement is actual Pacific Swimming club membership, not residence in either state alone. Seasonal or unaffiliated clubs should not assume they qualify.
To receive 2027 funding, a club must have completed the Safe Sport Club Recognition Program or at least started the recognition process. A club qualifying based on having started the process must subsequently obtain recognition to receive grant funding in the 2027–2028 swim year. No universal cash-match percentage is stated in the 2027 grant information.
Application dates and payment conditions
Apply through the official Pacific Swimming announcement and linked 2027 Google Form and provide all required supporting materials. Applications received by December 4, 2026 are scheduled for an approval decision no later than January 8, 2027; those received after December 4 through the January 22, 2027 final deadline are scheduled for decisions by February 19, 2027.
Pacific Swimming funds approved grants. For costs incurred before the grant payment, submit receipts with the application for reimbursement. For purchases made after receipt of grant funds, purchases and receipts must be completed and submitted by March 31, 2027. Thorough and accurate applications are required; intentional misrepresentation can invalidate eligibility for future grants.
