Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation (KHF) is accepting Field Trip Grant applications for the 2026–2027 school year to help Hawaiʻi public-school students participate in hands-on environmental learning at outdoor sites.
Funding is available for up to $1,000 per school. The live KHF application states that eligible costs may include destination entry fees, educational tour guides, and transportation. Multiple teachers at one school may apply, so individual field trips may be partially funded to accommodate multiple requests.
Eligibility: KHF’s grant page is directed to Hawaiʻi public schools, while its live 2026–2027 application states that preference is given to Hawaiʻi public schools; the application does not expressly prohibit all other Hawaiʻi schools. The common application is submitted by a teacher, and funded activities must be completed during the 2026–2027 school year. Applications must be submitted at least two months before the planned field trip start date.
Deadline: March 1, 2027. KHF does not publish an exact closing time or time zone on the current public grant page or common application, so Atlas does not infer one.
Submission: Apply through KHF’s live Google Forms common grant application. No matching or cost-share requirement is stated in the current public materials reviewed. Award checks are payable to and mailed directly to the applicant school.
Reporting: Awardees must submit a reporting form, expense receipts, at least five high-resolution photos of students participating in grant activities, and media-release forms for students shown in reporting photos. Reports are due within six weeks after the activity ends and no later than the end of the school year. Any unused grant funds must be returned to Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation within that same reporting period.
Program focus: This is a teacher-led environmental-education field-trip grant, not a healthcare-technology or vendor procurement opportunity.
