Opportunity Overview
The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) is accepting applications for the FFY 2027 Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP). SASP supports rape crisis centers and other eligible programs providing direct intervention, advocacy, accompaniment, support services, and related assistance to adult, youth, and child victims of sexual assault and certain family, household, and collateral victims.
Deadline and Funding
Completed applications and all required documentation must be submitted through Euna Grants powered by AmpliFund no later than October 28, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. EDT. ICJI states that approximately $1,100,000 is available for the January 1 through December 31, 2027 award period and expects approximately 10 to 20 awards ranging from $30,000 to $200,000. There is no match requirement.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, governmental organizations, faith-based organizations, rape crisis centers, and other nongovernmental or tribal programs and projects that assist sexual-assault victims and have the required service history. Governmental applicants may not be part of the criminal justice system and must be able to provide confidentiality comparable to a nonprofit victim-services provider. Applicants must also satisfy ICJI prequalification requirements, including UEI, SAM registration, Indiana good-standing checks, E-Verify enrollment, and the other threshold requirements in the current solicitation.
Allowable Program Focus
Allowable work includes 24-hour crisis hotline services, accompaniment and advocacy through medical, criminal-justice, and social-support systems, crisis intervention, short-term support services, comprehensive service coordination, information and referral, culturally specific services, and outreach supporting underserved communities when tied to direct victim services.
Important Restrictions
ICJI expressly excludes education and prevention activities, training for other professionals, Sexual Assault Response Team coordination, criminal-justice projects, sexual-assault nurse or forensic examiner programs, forensic interviews, prosecution activities, and domestic-violence services unrelated to sexual assault. The program also cautions against technology use that does not adequately address victim confidentiality, safety planning, and informed consent.
