The U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance is accepting applications for the FY 2026 Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center Integration Initiative. The program supports eligible state, local, and Tribal law-enforcement and government entities in establishing or expanding Crime Gun Intelligence Centers that use ballistic evidence, ATF systems, intelligence, technology, and interagency collaboration to identify crime guns and their sources and support violent-crime investigations and prosecutions.

Category 1 supports expansion of an existing CGIC with awards up to $300,000 for 24 months. Category 2 supports implementation of a new CGIC with awards up to $700,000 for 36 months. The NOFO does not require cost sharing or matching. Applicants must choose one category, may submit only one application, and must obtain a letter of support from the applicable ATF Field Division. State or local government applicants must also submit the required chief-executive or senior-official certification described in the NOFO.
