Florida Blue Foundation is accepting applications for its 2027 Maternal Health Grant Program. Approximately $3 million is available for four-year grants, with each application requesting $300,000 to $400,000 total, approximately $75,000 to $100,000 per year. Applications are due October 5, 2026 at 3:00 PM ET. The grant term begins March 1, 2027.

The program has two funding focuses: improving maternal health outcomes for chronic conditions, including hypertension, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity, and perinatal and postpartum maternal mental health support. The Foundation gives special consideration to organizations serving designated Florida ZIP codes and rural counties and to proposals incorporating innovative AI-powered approaches that improve maternal-health access, service-delivery efficiency or personalization.

Eligible applicants include qualifying Florida-serving 501(c)(3) charitable organizations and other named community, education and healthcare entities that meet the Foundation’s requirements, including a demonstrated maternal-health track record and at least three years of operation after receiving 501(c)(3) designation. Applicants must also meet financial-documentation requirements, including annual revenue above $400,000 in each of the two most recent years reported on Form 990 or 990-EZ.

Allowable costs expressly include salaries and benefits, training, rental costs, webinar or other media/technology, program materials/equipment, required travel, educational materials, printing/dissemination and up to 10% indirect costs. Buildings, capital campaigns, standalone research and development, individuals, new start-ups and profit-making enterprises are not supported.

Atlas fit: This is a strong applicant-led maternal-health technology pathway because program equipment and media/technology are expressly allowable and chronic-condition access is a core funding focus. N9+ should be positioned only as a mission-essential connected clinical-exam and vital-sign component within an eligible nonprofit-led maternal-health program, with measurable maternal and infant outcomes. The grant does not make Dr. Miltie or another for-profit vendor an eligible direct applicant, and it does not automatically authorize a stand-alone device purchase.
