The Louisiana Department of Education is accepting service provider applications for the LA GATOR Scholarship Program. Approved providers may offer qualifying education goods and services to participating families through the program marketplace. The provider application is separate from the student scholarship application.
Funding
This is a service-provider approval opportunity rather than a conventional grant award. The controlling LDOE materials do not publish a fixed provider award amount or provider-level funding cap. Participating families use their scholarship accounts for approved expenses and approved providers.
Deadline
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. LDOE does not publish a fixed closing date, clock time, or time zone for the current provider application window.
Eligibility
Potential providers may include businesses, individuals, nonprofit organizations, city or parish public schools, public charter schools, and other entities offering qualifying education expenses. Provider categories include full-time student-facing providers, part-time student-facing providers such as tutors and therapists, public schools, and vendors offering eligible educational goods or services.
Requirements and Restrictions
Applicants must submit the online provider application through Odyssey and complete attestations applicable to their provider type. Providers must maintain fiscal soundness and consistent service. Providers that expect to receive more than $100,000 in ESA funds during a fiscal year are subject to additional financial-capacity requirements under LDOE policy. Depending on provider type, attestations may address background checks, student withdrawal or absence notices, annual pricing, occupancy requirements, disciplinary procedures, and student assessments.
