Opportunity Overview
Impact100 Greater Milwaukee is accepting Letters of Inquiry for its 2026–2027 Impact Grant cycle. The funder awards $100,000 grants for transformational projects serving people in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, or Waukesha County. Atlas relevance is strongest in the funder’s Health & Wellness, Education, and Family focus areas, including projects that improve mental or physical health or expand educational opportunities.
Funding and Timeline
Each Impact Grant is $100,000, and the funded project must use the full award within 24 months. Projects costing less than $100,000 are not considered. Projects costing more than $100,000 may apply, but the applicant must define the portion funded by Impact100 and identify the other funding sources for the larger project.
The current 2026–2027 grant page states that the Letter of Inquiry is due December 3, 2026. Impact100 Greater Milwaukee does not publish an exact LOI closing clock time or time zone on the current public page. Organizations invited to the next stage are scheduled to be notified February 12, 2027, and invited full proposals are due at noon on March 3, 2027; the public page does not separately state a time zone for that noon deadline.
Eligible Applicants
Applicants must be recognized 501(c)(3) charities that have operated as a 501(c)(3) for at least 36 months; be located in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington, or Waukesha County; and use the grant for a project or program serving people in those counties. The organization’s annual revenue must be between $500,000 and $7 million on Part I, line 12 of each of its three most recently filed Forms 990. Three most recently filed Forms 990 are required. Applicants must also have three years of independently prepared audited or reviewed financial statements and current Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions corporate and charitable registrations at the time of LOI submission.
Each organization may submit only one application per year. A nonprofit that received a $100,000 Impact Grant must wait three full years before reapplying for another $100,000 Impact Grant.
Eligible Projects and Restrictions
Eligible work must be a capital project, new program, expansion of an existing program, or a new or expanded collaborative effort, and must target a defined population for a defined duration with measurable goals. Health & Wellness projects may address mental or physical health; Education and Family projects can also be relevant to school health, children, adults, and families.
The funder does not support general operating expenses, debt reduction, operating deficits, bridge funding, memorials or endowments, grants to individuals or private foundations, partisan or political activity, legal expenses, fund drives or annual appeals, general capital campaigns unrelated to a specific project, or religiously restricted programming. No mandatory match or cost-share requirement is stated in the current public guidance. A project above $100,000 must identify its other funding sources, but that is not presented as a fixed matching requirement.
Submission and Source-Control QA
The LOI is submitted online through Impact100 Greater Milwaukee’s Grant Lifecycle Manager portal. Applicants should rely on the current live portal for the active 2026–2027 filing fields and uploads.
Important source-control issue: the current 2026–2027 grant webpage links an LOI Preview PDF that is visibly labeled 2025–2026 Impact100 Greater Milwaukee and was printed September 2, 2025. Atlas therefore does not treat that prior-cycle preview as authoritative for the current cycle’s exact application fields, attachment set, character limits, or current registration dates. Before package work or submission, verify the current live portal requirements and any updated templates. Because the current public page also omits the exact LOI closing time and time zone, do not initiate applicant outreach or a final submission package until those controls are confirmed from an authoritative current source.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 90/100. This is a strong Greater Milwaukee nonprofit opportunity because it offers a substantial $100,000 award, expressly includes Health & Wellness, Education and Family, and permits capital projects, new programs, expansions and collaborations.
N9+ Fit: 35/100 conditional. Capital and health-program projects can potentially include clinical or digital-health technology when the technology is integral to a nonprofit-led transformational project, but Impact100 does not specifically solicit telehealth or remote-exam equipment. Do not force an N9+ use case. QC Healthcare Fit: 20/100 conditional. Dr. Miltie direct-applicant fit: 0/100 under the verified 501(c)(3), geography, revenue, financial-statement and Wisconsin-registration eligibility requirements.
Application Readiness
Confirm the applicant’s 501(c)(3) tenure, four-county location and service area, revenue band for all three required years, three years of audited or reviewed financial statements, current Wisconsin corporate and charitable registrations, project structure, focus area, measurable outcomes, 24-month spending plan, and current live-portal requirements. Confirm the exact December 3 LOI closing time and time zone before applicant outreach or final filing.
