New York My Brother’s Keeper Fellows Program 2026-27

NYSED expects up to $750,000 for approved New York State My Brother's Keeper Community Networks to provide rising 12th-grade students with leadership, mentoring, fellowship and community-service experiences. Each Community receives $5,950 per Fellow, and applications must be emailed and postmarked by September 8, 2026.

Broad Eligibility

Only approved New York State My Brother's Keeper Community Networks are eligible. An approved network is a partnership between the Office of the Mayor and the school district superintendent, or the Chancellor in New York City, that was approved by NYSED as a NYS MBK Community as of April 1, 2026. The public school district partner must serve as applicant and fiscal agent, and the network must also secure an MOA with at least one local postsecondary institution, business or community-based organization. Fellows are rising 12th-grade students enrolled in a funded NYSMBK Community, with an emphasis on boys and young men of color and all students.
