Funding
HECC intended to make multiple awards of $5,000 to $15,000 each, with $50,000 total available. The RFA described funding as first-come, first-served, while HECC Q&A 2 clarified that application review would begin after the RFA closed. The allowable cost period runs through June 30, 2027 for funded projects.
Eligible applicants
The RFA was open to Oregon community colleges and Educational Service Districts serving students in secondary or post-secondary education.
Allowable uses and requirements
Funds could support AI tutoring software licenses, hardware such as tablets or laptops, and software training. HECC Q&A clarified that eligible grantees could procure third-party AI tutoring platforms and vendor-provided educator professional development when otherwise compliant. Tutoring-center use could supplement classroom implementation but could not be the sole use.
