Chugiak Eagle River Foundation Grants are accepted year round for projects primarily benefiting the Chugiak and Eagle River communities in Alaska. The Chugiak Eagle River Foundation is an affiliate of the Alaska Community Foundation.
Eligible applicants: qualifying Alaska 501(c)(3) public charities, schools, federally recognized Tribes, city governments or boroughs, and organizations with a charitable, educational, civic, patriotic, social, literary, cultural, athletic, or scientific primary purpose. Individuals, state or federal agencies, for profit businesses, private foundations, and generally churches are not eligible.
Eligible uses: capital projects including furnishings, buildings, audio and video equipment, books, medical equipment, computers, art supplies, sports equipment, musical instruments, and vehicles. CERF may also consider innovative special projects with broad community or statewide significance when they demonstrate durable impact and sustainability.
Not funded: general operations, loans or debt reduction, endowments, indirect or overhead costs, or reimbursement for completed projects or items already purchased.
Deadline: Year round. The advisory board meets quarterly and applications may also be considered at other times at the board’s discretion. Time sensitive applicants may contact cerf@alaskacf.org.
Award amount and match: The current public grant guidelines do not state a maximum applicant award or mandatory match requirement. Applicants should confirm current budget parameters in the grant portal or with CERF before finalizing a request.
Submission: Apply through the Alaska Community Foundation online grant portal. New applicants must create an account. The public guidelines do not list separate required attachments or forms outside the online application, so applicants should rely on the live portal requirements.

The guidelines expressly include medical equipment, computers, and audio and video equipment as eligible capital uses, creating a legitimate potential role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform when it is part of a genuine eligible community health project.
