Issuer: Sturgis Area Community Foundation, Sturgis Youth Advisory Council Fund
Status: Open for the 2026 Fall Cycle
Deadline: November 1, 2026. The Foundation does not publish a closing clock time or time zone on the controlling grant page.
Funding: The Foundation does not publish a current individual award ceiling for this YAC cycle. Official prior awards demonstrate meaningful youth project support, including a $20,000 youth mental health grant in 2025, but prior awards are not a current cycle ceiling or guarantee.
Purpose: The Sturgis Youth Advisory Council Fund supports youth related programs and projects in the Sturgis area. Youth Advisory Council members review proposals intended to enhance the lives of young people in the community.
Eligibility: SACF states that grants are available to federal 501(c)(3) tax exempt organizations, government entities, school districts, and universities. Applicants must have all required final reports from prior SACF grants submitted. Grants must serve residents of St. Joseph County, Michigan, with this fund focused specifically on youth in the Sturgis area. Individuals, sectarian religious programs, deficits, and previously incurred obligations are not eligible.
Match or cost share: No mandatory match or cost share is stated on the controlling public grant page.
Submission: Applications are submitted through the Sturgis Area Community Foundation grants portal. Open opportunities and sample applications are available through that portal.
Program contact: Elizabeth Whitehead, YAC Advisor, elizabeth@sturgisfoundation.org, 269 659 8508.
Atlas assessment: Atlas Opportunity Score 72/100. N9+ Fit Score 15/100. This is a legitimate Michigan youth and education opportunity, and the Foundation has funded youth mental health programming, but the current solicitation does not establish a strong or specific role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform, remote examination technology, or QC Healthcare services. Atlas does not force that fit. Dr. Miltie, LLC is not a verified eligible prime applicant under the published eligibility rules.
