Opportunity Overview
The University of Washington is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for general contractor/construction management services for Project 209079, UWMC ML 4NN/4EE – Acute Care Expansion at UW Medical Center Montlake. The project will renovate approximately 18,500 square feet on the fourth floor of the Pacific Tower, converting former patient-care space that is now used administratively back into approximately 24 additional medical/surgical acute-care patient beds or bays.
Deadline and Status
The University of Washington lists the solicitation as Open. Proposals are due no later than 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time on October 9, 2026. A voluntary informational meeting is scheduled for September 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams, and UW encourages a representative from each firm intending to submit a proposal to attend.
Budget
UW states that the estimated project budget is $35.5 million and the target budget for all work to be provided under the GC/CM contract is $26 million. These are project and target contract budgets, not a guaranteed payment or applicant-level award.
Procurement and Submission
The RFP and selection materials are controlled through UW Workday Strategic Sourcing. Registration is not required merely to view the RFP, but a firm must register in Workday Strategic Sourcing to participate in the opportunity. Any addenda will be published through the same sourcing portal. Firms should rely on the controlling Workday event for the complete qualifications, proposal forms, evaluation criteria, pricing requirements, certifications, references, insurance, subcontracting requirements, addenda and submission instructions.
This is a construction procurement rather than a grant, so applicant match or cost share is not applicable.

QC Healthcare Fit: 0/100. The verified scope does not establish a QC Healthcare services pathway.
Dr. Miltie direct-bid fit: 0/100. Atlas should not advance direct-vendor pursuit or recipient outreach on the presently verified scope.
