Opportunity Overview
Impact100 Southern Connecticut is accepting 2026-27 Letters of Intent from eligible nonprofit organizations for transformational projects serving Southern Connecticut. The program includes five focus areas, including Health & Wellness for initiatives that improve mental and/or physical well-being, plus Education and Family priorities relevant to school health, children, families and seniors.
Funding and Deadline
Eligible nonprofits may seek up to $100,000. The controlling 2026-27 application page states that the Letter of Intent and required LOI Budget are due December 3, 2026 at 9:00 AM. Impact100 does not separately publish a time zone for that cutoff, so Atlas recommends submitting before the stated clock time rather than assuming a zone.
Eligible Applicants and Geography
Applicants must be tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), independent of a fiscal sponsor, serve residents in New Haven, Middlesex and New London Counties, and possess at least two full years (24 months) of financial statements. A local affiliate may apply under the 501(c)(3) status of its national organization.
Eligible Projects and Costs
Projects must serve residents of and expend funds fully within Southern Connecticut, be transformational to the organization, and take the form of a capital project, new program, expansion of an existing program, or a new or expanded collaboration. The total project budget must be at least the full Impact100 grant amount. Project-specific operating or overhead costs may be requested when applicable to the funded initiative, but general operating support is not eligible.
Ineligible uses include debt reduction or operating deficits, grants to individuals, endowment, interim or bridge funding, partisan or political activity, and capital work on property the applicant neither owns nor controls through at least a five-year lease or written agreement. Faith-based programs must be available without requiring religious participation.
Submission and Process
The 2026-27 process begins with an LOI and the required LOI Budget template. Applicants must copy and rename both templates with the nonprofit name and 26-27 LOI designation and email both documents to Grants@Impact100sct.org no later than 9:00 AM on December 3, 2026. Selected organizations will be invited to complete a full application with detailed budget. Each organization may submit only one application per year. A second online grant-writing workshop is scheduled for October 1, 2026, with registration through Grants@impact100sct.org.
Controlling Details and QA Note
The eligibility section says funded projects must expend funds within 25 months of the award date, while the FAQ on the same page says funds should be expended within 24 months. Atlas preserves this source inconsistency and recommends confirming the applicable grant-agreement period before final application. No mandatory match or cost-share requirement is stated in the current public guidance; proposals larger than the Impact100 award may identify additional funding sources.
