Washington Behavioral Health Facilities Closure Prevention Funding
The Washington State Department of Commerce is currently accepting applications for capital projects that prevent the closure of existing behavioral health facilities. Awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.

Commerce states that up to $8.4 million is available statewide to maintain buildings and preserve existing behavioral health beds and services. Commerce’s current Behavioral Health Facilities Program page states there is no funding cap per project for Closure Prevention. Who may be eligible
Commerce’s Behavioral Health Facilities Program may fund nonprofits, for-profit businesses, public entities, and Tribes that operate community hospitals or community-based behavioral health services.
