Wyoming opportunity. The Wyoming Business Council administers Wyoming’s State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), an SBA-funded export assistance program for eligible Wyoming small businesses pursuing international markets.

Funding: STEP reimburses 75% of eligible approved costs, up to $5,000 per award. Eligible businesses may receive no more than two STEP awards during the current grant period. The company supplies the remaining 25% as cash match; in-kind match is not accepted.

Current grant period: July 1, 2026 through September 29, 2027, subject to funding availability. The current Wyoming Business Council source does not publish a fixed universal application closing date or time.

Eligibility: Applicants must satisfy SBA small-business requirements and be physically located and operating in Wyoming. Current program guidance requires at least one full-time employee besides the owner and qualifying products or services with at least 51% U.S. content. A company registered in Wyoming only through a registered agent but physically operating elsewhere is not eligible.

Eligible activities: STEP supports qualifying international market expansion, including approved trade shows, trade missions, export promotion, translation and international marketing activities. Grant recipients participating in trade events are expected to conduct business-to-business meetings with potential clients.

Application and contracting: Wyoming Business Council review is generally targeted within 5–10 business days, and contracting may take up to 30 working days. Applicants must not incur reimbursable costs or begin funded activity before the WBC contract is fully signed. Current program materials also require applicable SBA eligibility and federal compliance certifications and relevant export classification information.

Atlas assessment: Atlas Opportunity Score 70/100. N9+ Fit Score 0/100. QC Healthcare Fit 0/100. This is a broad export-market development program and does not establish a legitimate funded role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform or QC Healthcare under currently verified Wyoming eligibility facts. Do not force a healthcare or device angle.
