Opportunity Overview
The Wellik Foundation, a supporting organization of the Arizona Community Foundation, opened its Fall 2026 competitive grant cycle on September 14, 2026. The Foundation supports projects that improve quality of life in the Wickenburg area, including healthcare, education, social services, economic development, the arts, and preservation of the community’s western lifestyle.
Funding and Deadlines
The Foundation does not publish a fixed minimum or maximum request amount for this cycle. Its guidelines state that the total granting pool depends on funding availability and that each qualified organization may submit only one proposal during the cycle.
The first stage is a Letter of Interest. The LOI is due October 5, 2026 at 4:00 PM. Organizations selected to advance will receive instructions for the full application, which opens October 23, 2026 and is due November 13, 2026 at 4:00 PM. The current official guidelines publish the clock times but do not identify a time zone, so Atlas is not inferring one.
Eligibility and Geography
Eligible applicants include qualifying Arizona 501(c)(3) public charities, government agencies, tribal entities, schools or municipalities as reflected in the Foundation’s pre-qualification questions, and religious organizations seeking support for non-sectarian programs. The proposed program must serve the Wickenburg area, defined in the guidelines as a 10-mile radius from Wickenburg. Applicants must satisfy the Foundation’s non-discrimination requirement, maintain a complete and visible Arizona Community Foundation profile, remain in good standing with the IRS where applicable, and have organizational authorization to apply. Fiscal sponsorship documentation is required when applicable.
Required LOI Materials
The LOI requests the project name, amount requested, total project amount, project dates, a short project summary, and the desired outcome. Applicants must upload a Project Budget/Use of Funds Statement and the organization’s most recent Profit and Loss statement. An endowment financial statement is also required when the organization maintains an endowment fund.
Program Priorities and Match
The Foundation encourages projects that leverage matching funds, engage strategic mission-driven collaborations, build organizational capacity, and support direct services. The current guidelines encourage leverage but do not establish a mandatory non-Federal match or cost-share percentage.
Submission
Applications are submitted through the Arizona Community Foundation online grant portal. Technical and eligibility questions may be directed to the Arizona Community Foundation Competitive Grants Management Team at grants@azfoundation.org or 602-381-1400.
Atlas Strategic Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 83/100. The cycle is highly relevant to healthcare and education organizations serving the Wickenburg area and permits direct-service projects. Internal N9+ Fit Score: 52/100 conditional. A remote physical examination or connected-care project could be conceptually relevant to a local healthcare applicant, but the published guidelines do not expressly establish medical-device or equipment allowability. Atlas should not budget or represent the Nonagon N9+ device and platform as grant-eligible unless the Foundation confirms the proposed cost treatment for the specific applicant and project. Dr. Miltie/QC is not a verified direct applicant or direct-vendor pathway under the current published rules.
Next Action
Potential applicants should first confirm that the proposed program serves the 10-mile Wickenburg area, verify organizational eligibility and ACF profile readiness, and prepare the required LOI budget and financial documentation before the October 5 LOI deadline.
