Texas Medical Association Foundation (TMAF) is accepting 2026 applications for its Medical Community Grant Program and Medical Student Community Leadership Grants. The November application cycle is open to eligible TMA-family organizations across Texas.
Funding and deadlines
TMA county medical societies and TMA Alliance chapters may request up to $7,500 in matching funds through the Medical Community Grant Program. TMA medical student chapters may request up to $3,000 in matching funds through the Medical Student Community Leadership Grants.
The process is two-step. A Letter of Inquiry must be submitted before a full application can be started, and TMAF requires the LOI at least 15 days before the application deadline. For the November cycle, the published LOI deadline is November 1, 2026, and the full application deadline is November 15, 2026. The current public page does not publish a closing clock time or time zone for either date.
Eligibility
Published eligible applicants are TMA county medical societies, TMA Alliance chapters, and TMA medical student chapters. Dr. Miltie, LLC is not a direct eligible applicant under these published applicant classes.
Program focus
TMAF supports community health improvement initiatives connected to the Texas Medical Association family. Current TMA materials describe priorities including population health, science, medical education, and quality of care. Recent community-grant examples include health fairs, refugee clinics, border-health initiatives, asthma interventions, physician wellness, and access-to-care programs.
Application and controls
Applications are submitted through the TMAF online Grant Portal. TMAF describes these awards as matching funds, but the current public landing page does not state the exact matching ratio, cash-versus-in-kind treatment, or complete source rules. It also does not publish a total November-cycle funding pool, a detailed allowable/ineligible-cost schedule, or a general procurement/vendor rule. Confirm those items in the live portal and current program guidance before applicant package development or vendor budgeting.
Atlas analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 76/100.
N9+ Fit Score: 12/100, conditional. Current public program language does not specifically authorize telehealth hardware, connected examination devices, or the Nonagon N9+ remote physical examination platform. Do not force fit.
QC Healthcare / other Dr. Miltie fit: 15/100, conditional. Any participation would be applicant-led and subject to cost allowability, matching requirements, procurement, and actual project design.
