Applicants must live in and remain enrolled in a Rhode Island public or independent high school for the entire academic year and must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident at the time of application. All qualifying leadership positions are subject to verification and the judgment of state selection administrators.
How Rhode Island students apply
RIDE directs applicants to use the Rhode Island USSYP application form and submit the completed application according to RIDE’s published instructions. The state contact listed by the national USSYP program is Brianna N. Fournier at YouthSenate@ride.ri.gov, Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, 255 Westminster Street, Providence, RI 02903.
The RIDE scholarship page identifies Monday, October 19, 2026 as the Rhode Island submission deadline. The current authoritative state and national sources reviewed by Atlas do not publish an exact submission clock time and time zone for the Rhode Island applicant deadline. Atlas therefore does not infer one.
Scholarship amount source note
RIDE’s current scholarship page contains conflicting legacy/current amount text, including references to $12,500 and $15,000. The current national USSYP 2026-2027 program materials state that the 104 selected student delegates receive a $12,500 undergraduate college scholarship. Atlas uses the current national program amount while preserving the state-page discrepancy for transparency.
Atlas fit assessment
- Atlas Opportunity Score: 52/100
- School/Education Funding Score: 68/100
- N9+ Fit: 0/100
- QC Healthcare Fit: 0/100
- Direct Dr. Miltie applicant/vendor fit: 0/100
This is a direct student scholarship and public-service leadership program rather than an institutional grant, healthcare procurement opportunity, or vendor-funded implementation program. It is relevant to Atlas as verified Rhode Island education funding intelligence, but it does not create a legitimate N9+, QC Healthcare, or direct-vendor revenue path.
