Nebraska RHTP 1.3 — Farm-to-School Procurement and Policy Technical Assistance
Nebraska's Rural Health Transformation Program has approximately $8.344 million available to strengthen local food production, processing, aggregation and distribution for school meals. Eligible farmers, ranchers, producers, cooperatives and food suppliers may receive awards up to $150,000. Applications are due August 31, 2026.
Required next actionSubmit immediately. Confirm the applicant is an eligible local farmer, rancher, producer, cooperative or food supplier; identify the schools that will be served; document how the project will increase school access to locally produced, minimally processed foods, including proteins; define the equipment, supplies or operational costs requested; document project readiness, procurement and installation timing; complete the RFA; and email the application to Kayte.Partch@nebraska.gov before August 31. Because awards are made on a rolling basis up to $150,000 while funding remains, speed matters.
