The Oregon Disaster Funders Network (ODFN) accepts rolling funding requests from eligible Oregon organizations and jurisdictions with needs across the disaster lifecycle, including resilience and prevention, response, and recovery. ODFN provides a single streamlined entry point and shares qualified requests with approximately 35 participating philanthropic organizations. ODFN itself is not a pooled fund and does not guarantee an award.
Funding
ODFN states that there is no strict minimum or maximum request amount. Requests that tend to fare better are generally in the $2,500 to $40,000 range. Awards made by participating grantmakers generally fall between $5,000 and $40,000. ODFN reports that the average award in 2024 was $17,600. Individual network members make their own funding decisions and may apply their own priorities, eligibility rules, and award conditions.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants include Oregon nonprofits, jurisdictions, and some government agencies with qualifying disaster-related needs. Fiscally sponsored requests are accepted. Individuals, families, and small businesses are not currently eligible through the standard process. No referral, prior funder relationship, or prerequisite is required before an eligible applicant submits a funding request.
Deadline and Submission
This is a rolling, year-round funding request process with no fixed published deadline. Eligible applicants submit a streamlined request through ODFN’s official Grant Seekers process. ODFN reviews requests for basic eligibility and alignment, then shares relevant requests with network members. Funders may contact an applicant directly, request additional information, invite a separate application, or proceed toward an award.
Match and Award Conditions
ODFN does not state a mandatory match or cost-share requirement for the initial funding request. Because ODFN is a coordination network rather than the ultimate grantmaker, a participating funder may impose its own conditions if it elects to pursue a request.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 78/100. N9+ Fit Score: 5/100. This is a useful statewide, rolling Oregon disaster funding access point with broad nonprofit and public-jurisdiction eligibility and a streamlined pathway to multiple philanthropic funders. Disaster health, EMS, shelter, or emergency-response needs could be relevant in principle, but the controlling materials do not establish the Nonagon N9+ device and platform, telehealth, remote physical examination, or guided-vitals technology as an eligible or prioritized expense. Atlas therefore does not force a technology fit or authorize outreach from this record alone.
