The City of Muskogee Foundation opened its 2026-2027 Summer and Regular Grant cycles on September 1, 2026. Current grant committees include Economic Development, Education and Empowerment, Health and Wellness, and Quality of Life.
Current cycles
Summer Grants: applications opened September 1, 2026 and are due October 23, 2026. Projects must occur primarily during June, July, and August. Decisions are scheduled for the March 2027 Foundation Board meeting, with funds distributed in April 2027 pending a grant agreement.
Regular Grants: applications opened September 1, 2026 and are due February 1, 2027. Decisions are scheduled for the June 2027 Foundation Board meeting, with funds distributed in July 2027 pending a grant agreement. The Standard Grant Cycle now uses a single step application and no longer requires a Letter of Intent.
The public grant page does not publish an exact closing clock time or time zone for either deadline, a standard maximum applicant award or award range, a total cycle pool, or a mandatory match or cost share requirement. Eligibility and priorities
The Foundation states that it makes grants to nonprofit organizations, churches, schools, and the City of Muskogee, with priority focused on serving Muskogee citizens. Health and Wellness supports program support, capacity building, collaborative projects, and innovative solutions addressing children’s health and early intervention, basic needs, and physical, mental, and emotional health. Education and Empowerment supports student success, STEAM education, early childhood family engagement, and postsecondary and workforce pathways.
