Opportunity Overview
The Robert O. & Annamae Orr Family Foundation 2026 Grant Year supports qualified Summit County, Ohio nonprofits. The Foundation states that its giving includes human services, health, cultural initiatives and other efforts that improve quality of life in the community.
Funding and Deadline
Applications may be submitted through October 31, 2026. The official materials do not publish a deadline clock time or time zone, so Atlas does not infer one. The Foundation does not publish a current per-award minimum, maximum or total 2026 funding pool.
Eligibility
Applicants must be qualified IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations located in Summit County, Ohio. Requests from organizations or programs outside Summit County are not considered. Dr. Miltie/QC Healthcare is therefore not a direct eligible applicant.
Allowable Uses, Exclusions and Cost Share
The Foundation does not state a mandatory match or cost-share requirement. It expressly excludes contributions to individuals, raffle prizes or tickets, wages and benefits, deficits or pre-existing debt, operating expenses, capital campaigns, internships, government, political, legislative or lobbying entities, and medical research. Connected examination, telehealth equipment or vendor services are not expressly identified as allowable, so applicants should obtain Foundation confirmation before including those costs.
Application and Required Materials
Applications must be submitted electronically. After submission, the Foundation sends an acknowledgement identifying supporting documents. Within five days, applicants must provide the specific program or project budget, board of directors or trustees, and executive or management staff; first-time applicants must also provide the IRS determination letter. The Foundation states that incomplete applications lacking the required supporting documents will not be reviewed. Awardees must sign a grant agreement. The project period is generally 12 months from receipt unless otherwise specified, and grants over $1,000 require a final report.
Contact and Amendments
The Foundation identifies Karen Thompson as Executive Director and lists orrfamilyfoundation@yahoo.com for correspondence. No amendment notice was identified on the current official pages.
Atlas Fit Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 74/100. This is a legitimate Summit County health and human-services opportunity with a clear nonprofit applicant pathway, but current award size is not published and several common expense categories are excluded.
N9+ Fit Score: 46/100, conditional applicant-led. A pathway may exist only where a qualified Summit County nonprofit owns a genuine healthcare-access project and the Foundation confirms the proposed connected-examination or telehealth cost is allowable. Atlas should not force a device purchase.
Realistic Applicant Profile
AxessPointe Community Health Centers is a realistic eligibility profile because its own materials describe it as a nonprofit federally qualified health center serving Summit County with medical, dental, behavioral-health, women’s-health and pharmacy services. No application intent or project commitment is assumed.
Verification basis: Robert O. & Annamae Orr Family Foundation current application, home/about and contact pages; AxessPointe official materials; reverified September 12, 2026.
