Opportunity Summary
The Bowman & Slope County Community Foundation, affiliated with the North Dakota Community Foundation, is accepting Fall 2026 grant applications. The controlling source states a September 14, 2026 deadline. It does not publish an exact cutoff clock time or time zone.
Funding
The Fall 2026 cycle includes $71,000 available to organizations serving Slope County and $15,000 available to organizations serving Bowman and/or Slope County. Organizations may apply in all announced rounds. The public guidance does not state a universal per applicant maximum.
Eligibility
Applicants must be IRS recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, government agencies, or organizations using a qualifying fiscal sponsor, and must provide services in Bowman and/or Slope counties. The Foundation prioritizes urgent regional needs, organizations with limited access to other funding, and projects serving more residents.
Allowable and Priority Context
The Foundation lists nursing home or hospital special needs and ambulance and fire needs among examples of appropriate community projects. Routine operating or day to day expenses are lower priority. Individual grants or scholarships, multi year pledges, political activity, and other listed excluded uses are not funded.
Healthcare and School Relevance
Recent awards establish direct healthcare and emergency response precedent. Southwest Healthcare Services received $20,000 in 2024 for a Cardiac Ready Community project. Marmarth Ambulance Service received $6,800 in 2025 for AEDs for rural readiness, and Bowman County School District received $15,000 in 2023 for the Bulldog Wellness and Performance Center.
Submission
Applications are submitted through the NDCF Grant Portal. New users register with the organization name, EIN, executive officer name, username or email, and password, then complete the applicable grant application online.
Public Source Limits
The controlling public page does not state a solicitation number, a universal per applicant maximum, a mandatory match or cost share requirement, an exact deadline time or time zone, a grant specific mandatory attachment checklist, or specific technology vendor procurement rules. Applicants should confirm any project specific equipment, platform, implementation, or vendor costs in the live portal or with NDCF before budgeting them.
Atlas Scoring
Atlas Opportunity Score: 88/100. N9+ Fit Score: 68/100 conditional. The medical and emergency equipment precedent supports a legitimate applicant led pathway, but the fund does not specifically preapprove remote examination or telehealth technology. The Nonagon N9+ device and platform should be considered only if an eligible local applicant identifies a genuine project need and NDCF confirms the proposed costs are allowable.
