The NIH Common Fund is accepting applications for RFA-RM-27-015, Logistics Center for Precision Medicine with AI: Integrating Imaging with Multimodal Data (PRIMED-AI).

Funding: NIH anticipates one award and intends to commit approximately $750,000 in FY2027. Application budgets are limited to $575,000 in direct costs for the first year and up to $2,500,000 in direct costs per year for the remaining four years. The maximum project period is five years.

Deadline: applications are due October 2, 2026 at 5:00 PM local time of the applicant organization. Late applications will not be accepted.

Purpose: the Logistics Center will provide the administrative infrastructure for the PRIMED-AI Consortium through integrated Administration, Evaluation, and Outreach cores. It will coordinate consortium activities, collect and disseminate information about PRIMED-AI tools, administer collaboration and outreach activities, and help build communication and trust across scientific, clinical, data-science, and patient communities.

Eligibility: domestic higher education institutions, nonprofits, state and local governments, tribal organizations, independent school districts, small businesses, and other for-profit organizations may apply. Foreign organizations and foreign components are not eligible. A multi-PD/PI application is required. Cost sharing is not required.

Atlas assessment: provisional N9+ Fit Score 28/100 and Atlas Opportunity Score 58/100. The opportunity is relevant to the broader digital-health and AI ecosystem, but N9+ is not a core deliverable and should not be forced into the logistics mission. Dr. Miltie could be a limited industry or stakeholder contributor where appropriate, but this is not a strong direct-device or direct-vendor pursuit absent independently verified consortium-management, evaluation, and outreach capabilities at the required scale.
