Required next actionReview the live SAM.gov RFQ and requirements document; respond only if the complete specialized microencapsulation, microfluidic pumping and droplet-generation, integrated hardware/software, installation, training, pricing, delivery, and submission requirements can be fully met.

Broad Eligibility

All responsible sources may submit a timely quotation, but NIH intends award to Fluigent and requires complete compliance with the specialized microencapsulation platform requirements.

Atlas Analysis

NIH NIEHS procurement for a Fluigent microencapsulation platform supporting translational toxicology, organoid, microtissue, and advanced cell-model research. The Government intends a sole-source award to Fluigent but will consider fully compliant timely quotations. No Dr. Miltie direct capability path is assumed absent documentary evidence.

Opportunity Overview

The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, is requesting quotations for Fluigent Microencapsulation Fluidics System, 75N98026Q01230, an integrated platform for controlled encapsulation of human cell suspensions in alginate matrices for advanced toxicology research.

Deadline

Quotations are due September 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Scope

The requirement includes the Fluigent Microencapsulation Platform, specialized microfluidic modules, pumping and droplet-generation components, computer and software, installation, system setup, and training. The system must support controlled formation of alginate-encapsulated human liver microtissues and related 3D microtissue, organoid, spheroid, and advanced cell-model workflows.

Competition and Evaluation

NIH intends a sole-source award to Fluigent, the manufacturer identified as capable of meeting the complete requirement. All responsible sources may nevertheless submit a timely quotation demonstrating compliance with the full scientific and technical requirements. Award will be made to a responsible organization whose quotation meets Government requirements at a fair and reasonable price.

Submission

Written quotations must follow the live RFQ and requirements document and identify the products and services offered, manufacturer, applicable part numbers, quantities, unit and total pricing, delivery schedule, installation and training capabilities, and sufficient technical information to demonstrate compliance.

Funding / Contract Value

The public notice states an estimated requirement value of approximately $46,150.

Qualification Guidance

This requirement is most relevant to Fluigent or another source able to document equivalent specialized microencapsulation, microfluidic pumping and droplet-generation capability, integrated software and hardware, installation, training, and complete compliance with the Government’s scientific specifications. No Dr. Miltie capability should be assumed without documentary evidence of these qualifications.
