Gila Community Foundation — Fall 2026 Southline Transmission Grants
The Gila Community Foundation (GCF), partnering with the Southline Community Investment Program, is accepting applications from eligible nonprofits, faith-based groups, municipalities and other public entities for its Fall 2026 Southline Grant Cycle. Applicants must deliver community-benefit projects in southwest New Mexico serving one or more of Grant, Hidalgo, Luna and Doña Ana Counties. Projects can address community needs such as food access, community wellbeing, senior services, emergency assistance, and other locally identified priorities. This is an applicant-facing community financial-assistance grant, not a vendor procurement contract.
Individual applicant award amount
The foundation’s official Fall 2026 application guidance does not publish a fixed individual applicant maximum or minimum award. Do not treat the amounts received by beneficiaries in a prior cycle or the overall 2025 grantmaking total as the binding 2026 applicant award. Request the current award range from GCF if needed. No universal matching-funds percentage or reimbursement-only rule is stated on the official Fall 2026 page; applicants must check the online grant-application form for specific budget and allowable-cost rules.
Eligibility and restrictions
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, churches and other faith-based organizations, municipalities, and qualifying public entities, provided they are in good standing and demonstrate community benefit in the four eligible counties. Organizations should confirm current IRS status as applicable, New Mexico Secretary of State registration, annual reports, and New Mexico Charitable Organization Registration Online System compliance as applicable. Noncompliant applicants may be excluded.
Important cycle restriction: Organizations that were awarded a grant in the Spring 2026 Southline round cannot apply again in this Fall 2026 round; they are not eligible until Spring 2027. Unsuccessful prior applicants may update and resubmit their existing applications through the new portal. New applicants create a grant-portal account. Applicants should explain community need, who will benefit, intended measurable impact, and sustainability beyond the award. Program priorities are set by GCF’s Southline Advisory Committee based on community need and application quality.
Application deadline and process
Applications opened October 9, 2026, and close November 19, 2026. The foundation’s official instructions do not state a binding cutoff hour or time zone. All applications must be submitted using the foundation’s current Southline grant portal link, which guides applicants through eligibility, organizational details, and proposed projects. Award notifications are scheduled for December 10, 2026 and funds for selected grantees are scheduled for distribution December 18, 2026. Email info@gilacf.org with eligibility, allowable-expense or funding-limit questions.
