New Mexico — Edgewater Elevates Foundation 2026 Impact Grants
The Edgewater Elevates Foundation (formerly the Encantado Foundation) is accepting applications for its 2026 Impact Grant competition. This is direct charitable financial assistance for established nonprofit or qualifying fiscally sponsored programs that prepare people for hire-ready careers in cybersecurity, application development and management, and information-technology operations. Funded projects must meaningfully serve Central and Northern New Mexico.
Individual grants and deadlines
Grant range: $50,000–$200,000 per recipient. Projects may operate for 12–24 months, with proposed implementation starting in January 2027 or later. The foundation has not published a fixed overall 2026 award pool or number of grants. Applications opened October 20, 2026 and must be submitted November 17, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. The published application does not identify an exact time-zone abbreviation; confirm locally with the foundation before relying on the cutoff.
Who may apply
Eligible applicants are charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or qualified fiscally sponsored projects with a demonstrated, multi-year record of preparing job candidates for the priority digital-workforce occupations. The primary service area is Bernalillo, Sandoval, Socorro, Valencia, Santa Fe, and Los Alamos counties. An organization based elsewhere may apply if the proposed work directly serves these six counties. Fiscally sponsored applicants must document a signed relationship with a 501(c)(3) sponsor that has been in place for at least six months. Previous grantees must be in good standing.
Eligible projects and application priorities
Priority projects produce verifiable hire-ready outcomes through industry-recognized credentials, hands-on training, internships, apprenticeships, mentorships, work-based experience, employer connections, and professional development. Applicants should demonstrate past implementation and explain measurable skills, learner retention, placements or career progress, outreach to populations underrepresented in technology careers, evaluation, and a realistic scaling strategy. The funding is not a general commercial services procurement or technology-purchase solicitation; it is competitive nonprofit program funding.
Mandatory prerequisites and application documents
Before the application can be considered, a representative must attend one foundation virtual Impact Grant information session AND participate in an individual application coaching session. The foundation specifies that coaching must be completed by November 11, 2026. Remaining information-session dates include October 26, October 28, October 30, November 4 and November 9 (session times published in Mountain time). Applicants should promptly register and request coaching rather than waiting until the November 17 deadline.
The application requests nonprofit and fiscal-sponsor information, a 1–2 page history/results infographic, organization chart and key staff, a program-model narrative, a detailed 12–24 month implementation plan, outputs and evaluation strategy, learner outreach and retention plans, scaling and capacity-building narratives, a line-item budget, budget narrative and funding-partner information. Collaboration arrangements require documentation where applicable. The funder has not published a universal cash-match percentage, standard reimbursement rule or fixed allocation ceiling; applicants should confirm any award-specific conditions with foundation staff.
How to apply and official verification
