Nevada Rural Reentry FLEX: RHTP Applicant Grant Competition

Nevada Medicaid, administered through the Nevada Health Authority, released the Nevada Rural Reentry FLEX Request for Applications on October 29, 2026. The competitive subaward program finances eligible rural adult/youth correctional health-care readiness and services. This is not a procurement bid, and its budget and permitted costs are distinct from the simultaneous Rural Reentry RHIT digital-health funding track.

Applicant award: the controlling application does not publish a fixed individual applicant grant maximum or minimum. The $5,775,316.97 amount is the total available program pool, not the amount available to every applicant. Awards depend on approved project scopes, budget negotiations and funding availability.

Who may apply: eligible Nevada rural counties, rural correctional or detention facilities and eligible partner organizations serving rural jails, correctional facilities or reentry populations. County applicants ordinarily submit on behalf of sheriff or detention departments. Proposals must identify beneficiary rural counties, facilities and material partners; non-rural lead applicants must demonstrate specific rural benefits.

Eligible uses: approved clinical, diagnostic, telehealth or patient-care equipment; mobile health-care capacity; secure medication-management resources; necessary patient-care infrastructure and limited facility modifications. Requests must explain the facility-specific rural reentry benefit and costs. Cosmetic-only work, demolition, new construction, major facility expansion, broadband infrastructure construction, unrelated general purchases, insurance-reimbursable clinical services and duplicated existing costs are not allowable.

Terms: awards reimburse approved expenses only after the executed subaward and required approval. Indirect expenses are prohibited and approved administration must be separately identified and capped at 10% of the total subaward. Annual future-period renewal is not guaranteed. Complete approved purchases, work, training and allowable expenses by August 30, 2027; maintain separate records if applying for both FLEX and RHIT.

Deadline: December 15, 2026; the controlling RFA states no specific closing hour or time zone. Submit the completed signed application, cover page, project/work plan, itemized budget and narrative, reporting measures, price support, partner commitments and any required technical or facility approvals to MedicaidReentry@nvha.nv.gov, with subject Reentry Flex RFA – [County/Organization] – [Project Title]. Questions due November 23; answers scheduled November 30.
