Broad Eligibility
Eligible applicants must be qualifying Nebraska nursing homes or assisted-living facilities. The RFA permits non-federal entities and for-profit/proprietary facilities that satisfy the facility requirements. Applicants must document no prior grant under Neb. Rev. Stat. 81-3145, no substandard-quality-of-care citation on the most recent survey, active Medicare and Medicaid certification/registration, a plan to achieve Step 3 in the applicable quality rating and improvement system within three years, and a plan to participate in the childcare subsidy program within the first six months of operation. Applicants are not required to already own or operate a childcare center.
