Creative Confluence Fund — Strengthening Arts-Engaged Organizations, 2026–2027 competition is a competitive nonprofit grant administered jointly by ArtsKC, Charlotte Street and the Hall Family Foundation for small arts organizations serving selected Kansas City, Missouri and northeastern Wyandotte County, Kansas neighborhoods. Applications opened August 14, 2026 and close November 24, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time through Submittable.
Individual applicant grant: Fifteen organizations will each receive $15,000 in unrestricted funding in year one and $15,000 in year two, totaling $30,000 cash per selected organization. Separately, the program provides a capacity-building assessment and technical experts valued at up to $10,000 in year one, and up to $10,000 implementation support in year two. Those in-kind support values are not additional cash grant awards.
Eligibility: Registered nonprofit arts-engaged organizations, or qualifying fiscally sponsored organizations, with annual budgets at or below $500,000; an organizational governing body with bylaws; at least one year of financial records and established programming; and principal location in or substantial program service to Historic Northeast Kansas City, the Eastside of Downtown Kansas City, or the northeast corner of Wyandotte County. Broader metro-area service without meaningful focus-neighborhood involvement does not meet the stated scope.
Grant purpose: Support artistic programming and organizational capacity, including strengthening local arts access, improving financial and personnel sustainability, planning, identifying organizational priorities, evaluation capacity and effective community partnerships. Grant recipients must take part in an onboarding cohort and capacity-building work, document activities, provide progress reports and participate in evaluation; publication/promotional acknowledgements may be required.
Application requirements: Apply through the program’s Submittable link using the official seven-page application preview. Provide organization mission and local engagement narrative, history and proposed programming, capacity-building needs, prior-year finances, current budget and year-to-date actuals, financial statements, two required artistic work samples, promotional material and a public representation image; a fiscal sponsor must supply agreement and identification details. Application review considers creative achievements, neighborhood impact, financial sustainability and capacity-building potential. No universal cash matching requirement is published.
Decision schedule: The panel meets December 2026–January 2027, with decisions anticipated late January 2027. Read the official organizations grant page, controlling application preview PDF, and Charlotte Street’s current application deadline listing.
