Mississippi 2027 Education Grant Program
The Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors is offering one-time reimbursable grants for Mississippi academic programs that provide education in engineering or surveying leading toward professional licensure.
Funding
Up to $600,000 is available across the 2027 grant program. The Board sets the number and size of awards, and the RFP states no minimum request. This is a reimbursement program; funds are not advanced.
Eligible Programs
- Four-year Bachelor of Science engineering programs accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
- Two-year Associate Degree programs offering surveying curricula.
- Four-year Bachelor of Science programs supporting surveying licensure education, including engineering, mathematics, forestry, GIS, and cartography, subject to the Board’s curriculum requirements.
Eligible Costs
Funding may support instructional equipment and resources such as computers, survey equipment, laboratory equipment, and library resources. Facilities and personnel expenses are not eligible. Institution-side installation costs are also not eligible for reimbursement.
Deadline
Applications are due on or before September 30, 2026 and must be submitted by the authorized contracting representative of the institution offering the academic program. The controlling RFP does not state a clock time or time zone, so none is inferred.
Cost Share
Cost sharing is not required. Voluntary cost sharing is permitted and may be considered favorably during evaluation.
Required Proposal Information
Appendix A requires a cover sheet identifying the program, academic unit, institution, program administrator, authorized contracting officer, contact information, and submission date. Surveying-related programs must provide curriculum-compliance documentation. Applicants must also provide a project summary, support and maintenance plan, instructional-use information, and an itemized equipment/materials cost list.
Evaluation and Timeline
The Board will consider impact on students pursuing licensure, equipment type, educational benefit, request amount, number of students affected, equipment utilization and maintenance, and any voluntary cost share. Award decisions are anticipated by October 21, 2026. Grantees must verify order and expected delivery by December 4, 2026, and reimbursement requests are due no later than May 28, 2027.
Atlas Assessment
This is a legitimate Mississippi higher-education equipment grant with useful Atlas grant-assistance fit. N9+ fit: 0/100. QC Healthcare fit: 0/100. Dr. Miltie/QC Healthcare direct-vendor fit: 0/100. ORIGINAL outreach must remain fail-closed until a specific eligible institution/program, verified business contact and email, opt-out/bounce status, exact-opportunity deduplication, and authoritative send history are all cleared. Because the RFP does not publish a closing clock time or time zone, do not infer either.
