Opportunity Overview
The Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation (GTRCF) Fall 2026 grant cycle is open for programs and services across education, health and human services, youth, seniors, and other community priorities in northwest Michigan. For healthcare-focused applicants, the current Fall Grants Guide identifies several relevant endowments, including the Campbell Endowment, Healthy Youth and Healthy Seniors Endowment, Joan Rajkovich McGarry Family Education Endowment, and Northwest Michigan Osteopathic Endowment.
Funding
Published 2026 availability varies by endowment. The Campbell Endowment lists $67,190 available with typical awards of $1,500-$4,000. The Healthy Youth and Healthy Seniors Endowment lists $7,140 available with typical awards of $500-$3,000. The Joan Rajkovich McGarry Family Education Endowment lists $6,500 available with typical awards of $500-$4,000. The Northwest Michigan Osteopathic Endowment lists $10,000 available and states that awards typically range from $5,000-$15,000. Applicants should rely on the live portal for the amount actually available to their specific eligible endowment.
Deadline and Submission
Applications opened August 15, 2026 and are due October 1, 2026 through the GTRCF Grants Portal. GTRCF does not publish a universal closing clock time or time zone for the Fall 2026 cycle, so Atlas does not infer one. Applicants first complete the portal eligibility quiz, then complete a separate application for each grant opportunity for which the organization qualifies.
Eligible Applicants and Geography
Unless a specific endowment states otherwise, eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, organizations with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, educational institutions, governmental entities, and Tribal organizations serving Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, or Leelanau Counties or the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. Endowment-specific geography can be narrower.
Healthcare and School Relevance
The Northwest Michigan Osteopathic Endowment supports medical-professional education, innovative health education or research, and programs responding to community health needs. The Healthy Youth and Healthy Seniors Endowment supports programs improving the health of youth and seniors, including health and nutrition, smoking prevention and cessation, access to dental care, chronic-disease prevention and management, mental health, and long-term-care alternatives. That endowment states that grant dollars cannot be used for facilities but may be used for equipment, and administrative costs of up to 15 percent may be considered. The McGarry Endowment supports nutrition and school-age obesity-related programs in Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties.
Match, Costs, Procurement, and Review
No universal mandatory match or cost-share percentage is published for the Fall cycle. GTRCF does consider other funding sources being leveraged as part of grant review, but Atlas does not treat that review factor as a mandatory match. The public Fall-cycle materials do not publish a universal vendor-registration or procurement rule, universal eligible-cost list, or universal prohibited-cost list beyond fund-specific guidance. Applicants should verify any vendor, subcontract, technology, equipment, and budget treatment in the portal for the endowment selected by the eligibility quiz.
Atlas Strategic Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 90/100.
N9+ Fit Score: 72/100, conditional applicant-led fit. A legitimate pathway may exist where an eligible northwest Michigan healthcare or school-health organization proposes a community-health, chronic-disease, youth-health, senior-health, health-education, or access project and the selected endowment confirms the specific technology and vendor costs. The Healthy Youth and Healthy Seniors Endowment expressly permits equipment, and the Northwest Michigan Osteopathic Endowment expressly supports innovative health education and community health needs. However, neither public source expressly names telehealth platforms, remote physical-examination devices, Nonagon N9+, or third-party clinical technology vendors. Atlas therefore does not represent N9+ as automatically allowable.
Dr. Miltie, LLC is not among the generally published eligible prime-applicant classes. A legitimate role, if any, would be as an applicant-selected vendor or partner after the applicant and GTRCF confirm allowability and procurement treatment.
