Opportunity Overview
The Peabody Education Foundation 2026-2027 PEF Grants program supports Peabody Public Schools teachers, groups of teachers, principals, and department heads seeking programs and resources that fall outside the normal school budget. Applications are considered on a rolling basis and funding is awarded first come, first served while funds remain.
Funding and Deadline
Individual teachers may apply for up to $2,500 total per year. Principals and department heads may apply for up to $10,000 total per year for projects benefiting a grade, department, or school. The 2026-2027 cycle opened August 1, 2026 and continues through December 31, 2026, or until available funding is exhausted. The controlling PEF materials do not publish a submission clock time or time zone.
Eligibility
Applicants must be teachers, groups of teachers, principals, or department heads in the Peabody, Massachusetts public school district. Proposals must benefit students and must focus on programming or resources not provided through the regular school budget. The applicant must notify the school principal before submission.
Program Categories and Evaluation
Applicants select either Creative Learning, for innovative academic programming, or Mental Wellness HOPE, for evidence based approaches that positively influence students’ emotional, psychological, or social well being. PEF evaluates applications based on innovation, educational objective, and financial impact.
Allowable and Ineligible Costs
The application requires a complete itemized budget, including project costs and estimated shipping and handling. The online form provides budget lines for supplies and materials, purchased services such as consultants or speakers, and other costs. Transportation, food, and refreshments are not funded. PEF also states that requests with high cost for a small number of students or limited impact beyond the current school year are less likely to be funded.
Required Application Information
The current online application requires the school name, applicant and principal information, evidence that the principal has been informed and supports the proposal, program title and focus, grade and student population, proposed start date, total amount requested, vendor information including the vendor taxpayer ID, a program description, objectives and benefits, and an itemized budget. Supplemental documents may be uploaded. PEF accepts only the current 2026-2027 online application and instructs applicants not to email or mail applications.
Match and Vendor Rules
The official guidelines and FAQ reviewed by Atlas do not state a mandatory applicant match or cost share requirement. After an award, the teacher or principal is responsible for coordinating with vendors and providing invoices or receipts to PEF. PEF generally does not work directly with vendors or performers. Purchase orders may be requested from the PEF Grants Committee when needed.
Technology and Dr. Miltie Relevance
N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. Although PEF can fund educational equipment and student wellness programming, the current grant objectives and small local-school award structure do not establish a legitimate project role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform.
QC Healthcare Fit: 0/100. The program is an applicant-led local education grant and does not establish a direct healthcare delivery or QC Healthcare pathway.
Atlas Assessment
Atlas Opportunity Score: 80/100. School/Education Funding Score: 92/100. This is a verified, open, rolling Massachusetts K-12 opportunity with clear local eligibility and straightforward online submission, but modest award caps and no validated N9+ or QC Healthcare fit. Dr. Miltie, LLC is not a direct eligible applicant.
