Opportunity Overview

Eligibility
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and current Louisiana residents. The proposed project must incorporate French in whole or in substantial part, benefit Louisiana’s Francophone community and the growth of French in the state, and reflect an effort to complete the application at the applicant’s level of French. Classroom and education projects are expressly within the supported scope.
Application Requirements and Restrictions
A complete application consists of the application form, budget form, letter of motivation, two letters of support, and resumes for key individuals involved in the project. The letter of motivation and resumes must be submitted in both English and French. Grant funds cannot be used for lodging or transportation. Recipients must submit a summary report with receipts within 30 days after the project is completed, acknowledge the fund using the required wording, and may receive only one grant within a two-year period. Applications are submitted electronically through the Community Foundation of Acadiana application path.
